A new registrar has been appointed to the Supreme Court of the Maldives.
The Department of Judicial Administration (DJA) announced that Raufa Haidhar was appointed to the post on January 12th.
The appointment was given under the authority provided to the DJA as per article 21 of the Judicial Service Commission Act.
DJA disclosed that Raufa had, in the past, temporarily acted as the Supreme Court's registrar from April 8, 2013, to May 7, 2014.
They further revealed that Raufa has been employed at the Supreme Court since October 19, 2011, when she first joined as an Assistant Legal Officer. Following changes made to the framework of legal positions on November 6, 2019, she was promoted to the position of Legal Officer.
