A Maldivian national, Shaufa Saeed, has won the Foreign Service National of the Year award.
Shaufa, who is an employee at the Embassy of America located in Colombo, Srilanka, was conferred the award by the Bureau of South and Central Asian Affairs (SCA) of the United States government. She was one of seven others that were also given the award.
According to the SCA, Shaufa's excellent reporting skills and communication expertise bolstered the relationship between the United States of America and the Maldives.
Additionally, the SCA declared that the award was conferred to her in recognition of her work and that they are fortunate and glad to have her in their employment.
