The programme gives each participant MVR6000 per month
it is based on the National Competency Standard Syllabus by TVET
23 candidates were awarded apprenticeships under four categories

Maldives Ports Limited (MPL) has launched an apprenticeship programme in collaboration with Technical and Vocational Education and Training Authority (TVET).

During the inauguration ceremony held on Thursday morning at Customs building, 23 candidates were awarded apprenticeships under four categories.

While each participant is remunerated MVR 6000 per month for the duration of the apprenticeship, they are not eligible for benefits or bonuses available to regular employees.

The apprenticeship programme is based on the National Competency Standard Syllabus by TVET.

Speaking at the ceremony, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Maldives Ports Limited (MPL), Shahid Ali, expressed his hopes for the participants to make the best use of the knowledge and skills taught through the programme.
