MPL CEO Mohamed Junaid has stated that criticism was a welcome facet and said that MPL will function on the set rules and regulations.

Speaking in the ceremony held in Velana International Airport to welcome the 20 individuals from Addu City who had been granted employment in the company. The 20 individuals are differently abled individuals.

In his address, Junaid said that over 300 employment opportunities had been granted over the past years. He said the company will be seeking to successfully implement the policies set by President Abdullah Yameen.

Speaking about Sports Commissioner Ahmed Nasheed’s call for his resignation, Junaid said criticism was a welcome facet, adding that he was spurred onto to do better. He added that procedures within MPL will always be according to the set regulations and rules.

Regarding the initiative spearheaded by the President on creating all-inclusive workplaces, Junaid said this initiative was a special project by the President. He added that MPL will prioritize on granting employment to individuals with special needs in various sectors of the company. Junaid noted that such initiatives will drastically improve the livelihoods of such individuals.
