The President's Office has forwarded the investigative report on the murder of Dr. Afrasheem Ali, to the relevant authorities.
The Presidential Commission on Deaths and Enforced Disappearances forwarded its reports on Dr. Afrasheem Ali's murder to the President's Office after concluding investigations on November 7.
Sources say the report was forwarded to the Maldives Police Service, the Attorney General's Office, the Prosecutor General's Office, and the National Counter-Terrorism Centre.
The Ungoofaaru constituency MP was stabbed to death in the stairwell of his house in the capital city, in October 2012.
Two were charged over his murder, and Hussain Humaam was convicted and sentenced to death after a dubious trial.
