Vice President Faisal Naseem has extended gratitude for the steady and smooth arrangements organized by Hajj Corporation for this year’s hajj pilgrimage.
This was done during a meeting with the senior management of Hajj Corporation at the President’s Office on Sunday morning.
While discussions were held on this year’s hajj pilgrimage, VP Naseem shed light on its smooth process, with the help of all other parties involved in taking Maldivians to perform their hajj duties this year.
Advising the corporation to prioritize pre-planning, VP Naseem urged them to give special attention in allocating slots to the elderly and those with medical conditions when carrying out the pilgrimage process.
Further, he went on to urge a wider initiation of preliminary awareness programs regarding pilgrimage, throughout the entirety of Maldives.
The Hajj Corporation had noted some concerns such as the requirement of land to build a waqf structure as a way of generating more income for the corporation.
In addition, VP Naseem was briefed on the importance of speeding up the quota process from the Saudi government for Maldivian pilgrims, going on to share thoughts and opinions to further enhance the work of the corporation.
Taking note of the concerns shared, VP Naseem assured that the government will work with relevant ministries in order to tackle all issues at hand.
