Housing Minister Aminath Athifa and Health Minister Abdulla Ameen have been summoned to parliament.

The housing minister has been asked to be present at Monday's sitting.

Vilufushi constituency MP Hassan Afeef proposed to question her, regarding the 100 housing units to be developed in the constituency.

Appointed in November 2018, Minister Athifa was also summoned to parliament in March this year, over the ministry's plans to bring changes to the Hiyaa shelter project launched by the previous administration.

While the housing minister is to be questioned on Monday, the parliament administration said that the required 14-day notice has been sent to Health Minister Ameen.

Maduvvari constituency MP Adam Shareef proposed to question the health minister last week, over work being done to develop the health center in one of the districts he represents, to a hospital.

He has proposed three questions over the work; the progress of the work, whether the finance for the year has been secured and when the work will be completed and services will begin.

The People’s Majlis has summoned and questioned a number of ministers this year, including Home Minister Imran Abdulla, Defence Minister Mariya Didi and Planning Minister Mohamed Aslam.

Its committees are also questioning officials during investigations and reviews.
