Two children under state care have been given the opportunity to enroll in a one-year training programme in the tourism sector.

Gender Ministry’s media official told RaajjeMV that the children are interested in a career in tourism.

The children will be given a practical education at Anantara Maldives Resort and will also be taking classes online. Upon conclusion of the training programme, they will receive an internationally recognized Level-III Certificate on Hospitality.

Gender Ministry’s media official said that they have completed their O-Level studies and so this training programme will further expand their educational and job opportunities.

Gender Ministry has previously provided the same opportunity to one child in state care, who has since completed his training.
