Thaa atoll Vandhoo Island Councilors have briefed Vice President Faisal Naseem on the council’s development vision for the island residents.

During a meeting held at the President’s Office on Tuesday morning, VP Naseem and councilors discussed concerns raised by island residents, along with urgent requirements of the community.

Shedding light on urgent needs, councilors stated that they require a shore protection initiative, progress in the island’s health facility, infrastructural development for the school and several others.

During the meeting, VP Naseem had appealed on the council and island community to pay special attention to improve student behavior and to advocate moral values among themselves.

Having listened to their concerns, VP Naseem gave assurance on behalf of the government that necessary action will be taken after thorough discussions are held with the relevant ministries to address the issues and concerns at hand.
