Over 500 students to participate in the 22nd inter-school athletics meet

The athletics meet is to be held from 22 – 27 June
Over 20 schools are to participate in this year’s inter-school athletics meet.
A total 565 students from 29 schools will take part in the sports meet, which is to be held from 22 – 27 June in Thinadhoo island of Gaafu Dhaalu atoll.
The schools are; Addu City High School, Feydhoo School, Hithadhoo School, Irushaadhiyya School, Kangaroo Kids Husainiyya Pre-Primary International School, Maradhoo School, Maradhoo-Feydhoo School and Sharafuhdheen School from Addu City, as well as Fuvahmulah City’s Gnaviyani atoll Education Centre, Hafiz Ahmed School, Mohamed Jamaaluhdheen School and Fuvahmulah School. In addition, GDh. Atoll Madharusa and Education Centre, Thinadhoo Aboobakuru School and Thinadhoo School from Gaafu Dhaalu atoll, as well as Gaafu Alifu atoll’s Dhaandhoo and Gemanafushi Schools. Other schools participating in the athletics meet are; Maamendhoo and Maavah Schools in Laamu atoll, Dhaalu atoll Education Centre and capital Malé City’s Ahmadhiyya International School, Aminiya School, Billabong High International School, Dharumavantha School, Ghaazee School, Jamaaludheen School, Majeedhiyya School and Villa International High School.
They will be competing in eight age groups.
The athletics meet will be held from 7 - 10am and 4 - 6pm.
424 students from 26 schools took part in the 21st inter-school athletics meet last year.
