New Radiant Sports Club has won the FA Cup.
The 'blues' won the cup after a penalty shoot out that ended in 6-4 in favor of New Radiant.
At the end of 90 minutes both teams managed to score two goals each. Extra time play failed to yield any results.
In spite of the win, TC had started out strong, scoring the first goal of the match in the 5th minute. The goal came courtesy of Stewart Cornelius. Cornelius scored again in the 26th minute.
New Radiant fired back in the second half, with a goal from Ibrahim Fazeel, which came five minutes after the second half began. Ali Fasir scored the equalizer at 76th minute.
Fazeel, Fasir, Akram and Mohamed Rasheed won their penalties for New Radiant. Easa Al-Maghrabi and Khalil Gamal scored the penalties for TC. All other attempts were stopped by the goal keepers.
This is the 12th time New Radiant had won the FA Cup. The two teams will face off again in the semis of the President’s Cup.
