Maziya Sports and Recreation has clinched an easy win over New Radiant Sports Club in the Dhivehi Premier League.
Saturday’s match between the two teams ended in a 2- nil score line.
Maziya took the lead early in the match, with a goal from Mihlovich Bojan in the eight minute of the game. Maizya had sought to extend the lead, closely matched by New Radiant’s aim to equalize the score.
New Radiant’s Adrian Galado had a golden opportunity to equalize the score at the 30th minute, which missed the goal by a few inches.
Maziya’s Mohamed Umair extended the lead just before the half ended, by converting a free kick into a goal.
In the second half, New Radiant had played a strong attacking game. Maziya had played the last 20 minutes of the game on the defense. However, New Radiant was not able to convert the opportunities to goals and the match ended with a win for Maziya.
Maziya had won the two matches in the league. New Radiant had won only one out of their two matches.
