The Male’ City Council has stated that they are developing a special parking zone for worshippers who pray at the Islamic Center.
Mayor Shifa Mohamed said they are working on increasing the area at the Islamic Center and requested that people not park in the marble area.

Islamic Center has become especially crowded during Ramadan with parking spaces becoming full quickly. A temporary parking zone has been opened at a nearby empty lot.
The city council has also opened a parking zone near the finance ministry and the Henveiru cemetery.
The council and the police service are working to solve the traffic and parking issues in the capital city.
