Ministers discuss facilitating bicycling, walking from Male’ to Hulhumale’

Transport Minister Aishath Nahula and Youth Minister Ahmed Mahloof have discussed facilitating bicycling and walking from Male’ to Hulhumale’.
In a tweet on Tuesday, Minister Mahloof said they discussed the security and safety requirements for such a project.
While the draft had designated bicycle and pedestrian lanes, the completed USD 300 million Sinamale’ Bridge had left out the bicycle lane and designated a narrow pathway for pedestrians.
Currently, pedestrians are unable to travel as far Hulhule’, as the area is closed.
