MIPSTAR re-opens clinic with new mental health services
 
MIPSTAR was established in 2011 and currently has 5,445 registered clients

Maldives Institute for Psychological Services, Training and Research (MIPSTAR) has reopened its clinic with new services.

Dr. Aishath Ali Naaz, head of the institute, opened MIPSTAR’s new clinic at M. Feeroazu on Wednesday.

Their new services include classes for people ages 21 and above with mental illnesses, clinical psychology consultations, psychological assessments, classes for children with autism, and therapy sessions.

The new clinic was inaugurated by Dr. Pratima Murthy, a professor at the National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences.

MIPSTAR was established in 2011 and currently has 5,445 registered clients, out of which 86% have undergone psychological assessments and 51% have used the clinic’s services.
