Malé City Council is seeking a contractor to construct mosque renovations in the capital city.
An announcement by the council reads that the project will be under their supervision and that they are seeking constructors who are willing to carry it out with their own equipment.
While an information session has been scheduled for interested constructors for the 18th of April, the council will be opening the project for bidding on 22nd April.
The council also revealed that they will not accept late bidders and those who do not attend the information sessions and urged all interested parties to pay heed to punctuality.
Construction and maintenance of mosques in the capital city were transferred under the city council after the inauguration of the government of President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih following changes to strengthen the decentralization system in the Maldives.
The construction and overall maintenance of mosques were previously carried out by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs during the previous administration.
