Foreign Minister Abdulla Shahid has departed on an official visit to Germany on Monday morning to attend the Fifth Berlin Energy Transition Dialogue.
The forum is scheduled to be held from 9-10 April in Berlin.
The Berlin Energy Transition Dialogue is a leading international forum for exchanging ideas on safe, affordable and environmentally responsible global energy transition. During the forum, Minister Shahid will contribute at the panel discussion on “Geopolitics in the Age of renewable energy”.
According to the Foreign Ministry, Minister Shahid will also be meeting with Heiko Maas, Germany’s Federal Minister for Foreign Affairs and hold discussions to enhance the existing bilateral relations between the governments of the Maldives and Germany and explore avenues for further cooperation between both countries.
The Minister is attending the forum on the invitation of Heiko Maas and Peter Altmaier, Germany’s Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Energy.
