Maldives has won the prestigious ‘Dream Destination’ award among Japanese, at the Marine Diving Fair 2019 in Tokyo, Japan, for the 11th consecutive year.
Maldives Marketing and Public Relations is representing the country at the the three-day fair, with Ambassador Ibrahim Uwais leading the delegation.
The ambassador opened the fair, along with the chairman of the Marine Diving Fair and President of the Marine Art Center, Itsumi Tateishi, as well as other Japanese delegations.
MMPRC said that “various activities will be carried out at the Maldives booth to attract visitors,” including local food tasting, bingo game at the stand, where the winner will be given a free holiday package to the Maldives sponsored by Liyela Retreat.
In addition, they are to give a presentation, to “deliver information about the various products and the diving segment of Maldives.”
MMPRC will also be hosting a Q&A session, where participants will be awarded a “special gift.”
The Maldives delegation will also be holding meetings with industry professions “to discuss on further developing the strategies to tap the potential travelers.”
