Three people have been injured in an accident in Fuvahmulah island of Gnaviyani atoll.

The accident occurred after the 16-year-old rider of one motorcycle crashed into another, while attempting to overtake a pick-up truck. 

The Maldives Police Service says that the accident occurred at 19:34 and that the injured individuals have been treated at the Fuvahmulah Hospital.

The 16-year-old motorcyclist’s 20-year-old passenger, and the 39-year-old rider of the motorcycle they collided with were all taken to the hospital.
