Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has been contracted with the road development projects in two islands.

At a ceremony at the Ministry of Planning and Infrastructure, MTCC’s Chief Executive Officer Hassan Shah had signed the agreement to develop roads in two islands.

As such, MTCC has been tasked with constructing the ring road in Fuvahmulah City and a road in Hulhumeedhoo island of Seenu atoll.

The contract was signed by Secretary Zeeniya Hameed on behalf of the Planning Ministry.

The development projects are estimated to cost exactly MVR 32،042،893.70.

Under the development projects, 2.7 kilometers of the roads are to be tarred with the development of a sidewalk and street light installations.

MTCC has been contracted the two projects with a deadline of 240 days.

In addition to the road development projects, MTCC has also been contracted a harbor construction project in Kanduhulhudhoo island of Gaaf Alif atoll.

MTCC has been contracted with completing the harbor construction within 350 days.

The project costs MVR 35.93 million.
