President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has on Wednesday said that he “regrets” some of the decisions made in the beginning of his presidential tenure.
The incumbent president assumed office in November 2018, after beating former President Abdulla Yameen in September’s election.
Speaking on the criticism he has faced over the “slow pace” of work by his administration on RaajjeTV’s ‘Fashaairu’ show on Wednesday, the president said that he has never been one to rush things.
He stated that he believes in evaluating everything before making any decisions.
However, President Solih stated that he “still” regrets some of his previous decisions, adding that he wishes that he had acted differently in some instances.
Solih further noted that “more damage is done to recover” from these decisions.
