A stabbing in Fuvahmulah City has left a minor in serious condition.

The stabbing took place close to 6am on Sunday.

The victim’s condition has been reported serious by his family. He was stabbed in the head and doctors have stated that he required B positive blood as soon as possible.

The 17-year-old had been working at Tiger Shark Residence Guesthouse in Fuvahmulah City.

He had evidently been on his way to work and was attacked by a group hiding near his workplace, the guest house.

Maldives Police Service is yet to make any arrests in connection to the assault.

Family revealed that the police are further investigating the case.
