The Marketing Seminars dedicated to local guest houses has kicked off.
While the first session of the seminars was held in Rasdhoo island of Alif Alif atoll on Tuesday, 12 out of the 32 registered participants had attended the first session.
Conducted by the Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) in partnership with the Guesthouse Association of Maldives and Maldives Getaways, the seminars are a part of the current government’s 100-day agenda.
It aims to further enhance the one of the largest economies, the tourism industry in the Maldives.
During the first session on Wednesday, participants were briefed on the market trends and statistics of the industry and information on social media marketing as well as various marketing strategies that may be used to promote guesthouses.
The second session on the 20th of March will take place in Ukulhas of the same atoll.
37 are registered to participate in the second seminar.
The seminars will be conducted from 23rd March to 23rd May in Dhigurah island of the same atoll, Thinadhoo island in Vaavu atoll, Dharavandhoo island in Baa atoll, Hanimaadhoo in Haa Dhaal atoll, Addu City, Laamu Atoll, Thinadhoo in Gaaf Dhaal atoll, Maafushi in Kaafu atoll as well as Hulhumale.
