New members have been appointed to the National Counter-Terrorism Center’s committees.
The members were appointed to the counter-terrorism steering committee and counter-radicalization committee.
They were appointed at a meeting held at the Coast Guard building with defence minister Mariya Didi.
At the meeting, the counter-terrorism center, the defence force, and the police service showed a presentation to give a briefing on the current situation in Maldives in regards to its anti-terrorism efforts.
They also discussed the work being conducted by the committee and the state institutions.
