The State Electric Company (STELCO) has decided to donate funds so as to allow the Care Society, one of the largest non-profit organizations in the Maldives, to hire a teacher.
STELCO managing director Hassan Mugnee and Care Society’s chairman Thaha Saleem agreed that STELCO will cover expenses for said teacher, for a period of one year.
Mugnee said that STELCO is ready to support social causes and always has been.
The Care Society was established in 1998, and in 2010 opened the Care Development Center which teaches children with Autism, sensory impairment, down syndrome and learning challenges.
