The woman hit by a speeding vehicle while crossing a road in Malé city on Tuesday, remains in critical condition, the ADK Hospital has said. 

ADK’s managing director Ahmed Af’aal says that the woman is yet being treated at the hospital’s intensive care unit. 

The accident was reported at 06:48pm on Tuesday; two people were injured, both of them pedestrians. 

A car had hit one of the victims, while the other was injured by the first falling on them.

The police are investigating the accident.
