Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has been contracted with operating the minibus service in capital Male’.

The service is part of President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih’s 100 days agenda.

Transport minister Aishath Nahula signed the agreement on behalf of the government and MTCC CEO Hassan Shah signed on behalf of the company.

Minister Nahula said that, as part of the agreement, MTCC is to introduce the minibus service for public use within 120 days (four months).

She also said that the service will bring ease to residents of Male’ and that the government will keep working to solve the public transport issues.
