Islamic NGO Jamiyyath Salaf’s recently advertised lecture that was scheduled to be held on Friday night was organized without obtaining the required permit, stated the Islamic ministry.

The Islamic ministry stated that the constitution gives the ministry the authority to preserve religious unity in the country and that religious lectures should be approved by the ministry before being organized.

The ministry stated that, after it received complaints over the issue, Salaf has been asked to obtain the proper permit before organizing the lecture.

The ministry also stated that it aims to uphold its mandate as well as work together and develop close relations with religious organizations.
