Education Minister Aishath Ali has inaugurated a programme to improve the education quality in the country.

The pilot programme was launched in Huvadhoo School in Faresmaathoda island of Gaafu Dhaalu atoll.

Minister Aishath arrived in the island on Saturday.

Speaking afterwards, the minister said that the first part of the progamme includes a reading session “which will allow both teachers and students to have a better understanding of English language, and in turn increase the chances of getting better results in subjects taught in the language.”

During her trip to the island, Minister Aishath met with the island’s council, as well as the parent teacher association of Huvadhoo School and the school management team.
