Husnu Suood, head of the presidential inquiry commission on ‘deaths and disappearances’, says he has briefed the judicial watchdog on illicit relations between court judges and local street gangs.
Suood said on Sunday that he spoke with the Judicial Services Comission’s (JSC) investigative committee on investigating said relations.
The committee is headed by Attorney General Ibrahim Riffath, and was formed after Suood publicly accused judges on the Criminal Court bench of colluding with local street gangs.

Suood said that he had given a two-hour presentation to the committee and shared ‘any and all’ information he has, presenting evidence to support his claims.
Suood has been leading President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih’s ‘Commission on Investigation of Murder and Enforced Disappearances’, which is investigating a total of 25 cases.
