Ibrahim “Ibra” Ismail

Former MP Ibrahim “Ibra” Ismail has been summoned to the police headquarters.

The police service stated that he was summoned at 8:30pm, Sunday, but did not disclose any details.

However, one of Ibra’s recent tweets have drawn outrage for being anti-Islamic.

Earlier on Sunday, The Ministry of Islamic Affairs announced that it would take measures with the relevant authorities to prevent mockery, hate speech and abuse of Islam on social media platforms.

The police have also stated that it is cracking down on hate speech and anti-Islamic sentiment online.
