Dr. Hussain Faiz has been appointed as Secretary General to the Supreme Court.

The judiciary made the appointment on Monday.

The Secretary General is the highest position in the administrative section of the Supreme Court.

Responsibilities undertaken by the Secretary General include managing administrative work as well as ensuring they are carried out as mandated by the judiciary.

The Secretary General also has the responsibility of relaying details needed to enact policies and regulations to the judges’ bench when required as well as ensuring the court’s procedures are followed.
