A 32-year-old man has died in a fatal motorcycle accident in GA. Maamendhoo on Monday night.

The police media officer said they received report of two motorcycles colliding near the island harbor at 8:15pm.

RaajjeMV understands that Afzal Yasir was dead-on-arrival at the hospital. The other motorcyclist, who is a 21-year-old man, is being treated at the Gaaf Alif Atoll Hospital.

Eyewitnesses said that the two motorcycles collided at high speeds, and that Afzal hit his head after being thrown off from his motorcycle.

Villingili councilor Mohamed Iqbal Fikree said Afzal suffered a skull fracture and was bleeding profusely from his neck after the accident.
