Asters wholesale & retail store has reported that laptops on display at the store have been stolen by the same thieves on different days.
A group of three had stolen seven laptops on October 14 and 28.
Asters stated that they had stolen one black Acer laptop, two Lenovo laptops (on gray, one black), two grey HP laptops, and two grey ASUS laptops. The laptops cost a total of MVR 71,665.
An Asters employee told RaajjeMV that they found out about the theft after they realized that a laptop reserved by a customer had gone missing. A subsequent look at the CCTV footage showed that the thieves had planned the thefts, the employee said, adding that they have filed a police report.
Asters has urged the public to contact 7782001 if anyone has information on the suspects.
