Two more arrested in connection to Ensis robbery
MVR 2.7 million was stolen in the robbery that took place on July 31

Two additional individuals have been arrested in connection to the robbery from Ensis Fisheries Company.

Police informed that arrested are a 23-year-old man and 25-year-old woman were arrested from Hulhumalé, adding that the court has issued them a five-day remand.

While police revealed that there is a total of four suspects in custody over the matter, reports indicate that two of them were employees at the company.

A total of MVR 2.7 million was stolen in the robbery which took place on the 31st of July. The money was stolen as it was being loaded into a company van after an employee withdrew the amount from a Mauritius Commercial Bank branch in Hulhumalé.

Ensis Fisheries Pvt. Ltd. is one of the leading fish exporters in Maldives.
