Dusit Thani Maldives had provided a total of USD 5,700 for setting up the lab and even gifted several equipment

The Maldivian government on Sunday inaugurated the first-ever B.Tech. (Bachelor of Technology) for Hospitality lab in the country.

Zushan Kamaaluddin, B.Tech. Coordinator at the Ministry of Health, and hotelier Dusit Thani Maldives’ General Manager Reinhold Johann had officially inaugurated the lab.

The lab is centered on hospitality and provides room for running academic classes and doing practical work in a number of service-related sections. B.Tech.’s are undergraduate courses.

Dusit Thani Maldives had provided a total of USD 5,700 for setting up the lab and even gifted several equipment used there.

The government had also supplied appliances to be used in the lab while students and parents of the Baa Atoll Madhurasa had also provided gifted items to it.

The lab is appropriately located in Dharavandhoo island of Baa Atoll, an eco-zone and tourism hot-spot famous for its clear waters and marine life.
