The Coastguard has begun a search for a man who went missing after going overboard near Vilamendhoo Island Resort & Spa in Alifu Dhaalu atoll.
58-year-old Abdulla Naseer was reported missing at 2:39pm on Friday.
He was wearing a black T-shirt and grey pants when he went overboard from a fishing boat near the resort.
A diving team is now active in the search and the Coastguard has urged anyone travelling in the region to immediately call their toll-free number 191 if they have any information.
