Stranded Sri Lankan fishing boat Sindoor 2 has been spotted 43 nautical miles outside GA. Villingili.
The Maldives National Defense Force (MNDF) was alerted at 11:30am on Tuesday.
MNDF stated that a Maldivian fishing boat saw the Sri Lankan vessel and had given the crew food and water.
The defense force stated that the seven crew members are now in good health.
After receiving the report, Coastguard boat FIC Hakuraa came to the scene at 5:25pm.
The coastguard stated that the boat’s engine had failed and that they are now transporting the vessel to GDh. Thinadhoo.
