He said this In his address to the nation on the occasion of Eid ul-Fitr on Friday
He said that the festive occasion of Eid is a time to meet with one another in the spirit of unity
He also said that Eid is the time to remember those who are less fortunate

President Abdulla Yameen has said that exchanging Eid greetings and well wishes within the Muslim community is part of good Islamic conduct.

In his address to the nation on the occasion of Eid ul-Fitr on Friday, the President conveyed Eid greetings and well wishes to all Maldivian citizens and the people of all Islamic countries.

President Yameen said that the festive occasion of Eid is a time to meet with one another in the spirit of unity.

He also said that Eid is the time to remember those who are less fortunate and advised Maldivians to offer them prayers and extend a helping hand.
