A 'Jazeera Raees' campaign billboard has been placed on the wall of 'Faseyha Point Cafe' in Galolhu on May 28th as part of Former President Mohamed Nasheed's campaign run to win Maldivian Democratic Party's (MDP) ticket for the upcoming Presidential Election.

While speaking at the billboard launching ceremony, Male' City Council Mayor Shifa Mohamed called as many party members to come out and vote in MDP's primaries on 30th May in order to show the rest of the nation what the party is made of.

Member of MDP's national assembly and parliament member (MP) for Galolhu Uthuru Constituency Eva Abdulla said that as mentioned by President Nasheed, while the Supreme Court has permitted him to contest in the election, UN has also agreed to it. She added that now is the time for the public to come together and resonate MDP's voice as well.

MP Eva highlighted that President Nasheed's name was written in the ballot papers at the last minute during 2008's presidential election, while his candidacy was only accepted with less than three months to the Presidential Election 2013. The parliamentarian assured that similar to the said elections, his name is going to be on the ballot papers this year as well, while calling MDP members to come out and vote on May 30th in order to demonstrate their collective power.

In addition, Council Member for Galolhu Dhekunu Constituency, Shaaheen Mahmoodh acknowledged the hard work done by the 'Jazeera Raees' campaign team under extreme pressure and intimidation.

Meanwhile, at a press conference held at the party office on Monday, MDP informed the media that they are fully prepared for the party's presidential primary planned for 30th May.
