The Maldives Police Service (MPS) has on Sunday launched a campaign to reduce crime, in partnership with six other organizations 

Police Commissioner Ahmed Areef signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the heads of Bank of Maldives, Turning Stone, Dhiraagu, State Trading Organization, Maps College, and Allied Insurance. 

The campaign was launched at an event held at the Islamic Center, where the Commissioner had made a presentation of the police's efforts to tackle crime over the past two years.
