A team of senior officials of ruling Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM)’s pro-government faction has flown off to Addu City.
The team, which includes First Lady Fathimath Ibrahim, is looking to gather support for President Abdulla Yameen for his 2018 presidential campaign.
PPM’s Parliamentary Group leader Ahmed Nihan shared a photo of the team on Twitter and said that they will be participating in a rally at Hithadhoo island.
