Police service stated it was investigating a bribery case involving Chief Justice Abdulla Saeed, and Administrator of Department of Judicial Administration (DJA) Hassan Saeed.

In a press statement on Sunday, the police service said they are seeking a court order to arrest Judicial Administrator Hassan Saeed.

Two family members of Justice Ali Hameed are also allegedly involved, police said.

Police officers entered the Saeed’s apartment building on Sunday morning but have not arrested him.

In the press statement, police said it received statements over their alleged involvement in giving bribes to purchase apartments in a commercial housing project.
