A Maldives Police Service (MPS) drug operation on Saturday night has led to officers searching four homes in capital city Malé.

Officers had apprehended a total of 13 people, all between the ages of 17 and 39, in the operation.

Following intelligence information they received, officers acquired court warrants for two houses in Galolhu, one in Mahchangoalhi, and a fourth in Maafannu.

They found 133 packets of folded cellophane, nine rubber packets of what officers believe to be narcotics, three empty film cannisters, and 10 ‘bullet-sized’ packets.
