MDP National Congress member Abdulla Rasheed Hassan has stated that the project to permanently allocate a large area of Ras Male' to Eagle Hills is a pre-planned effort to erase the nation's 100 percent Muslim identity and Islamic unity.
Speaking during the "Dhivehinge Bin Dhivehinah" coverage, Abdulla Rasheed stated that global Zionist powers are persistently employing various tactics to dismantle the Islamic state of the Maldives, which has endured for over 900 years.
He noted that throughout the history of the Maldivian monarchy, there were numerous instances of regime changes and power shifts. He further stated that even though Zionist-aligned factions had held power for as long as 17 or 18 years during certain periods, they were never able to undermine the nation's Islamic unity or alter its religious foundation.
However, he noted that in today's developed world, various tactics are being employed to erode the Islamic identity of nations and eliminate the influence of Islam.
In this regard, Abdulla Rasheed questioned the true motives behind major development projects, alleging that efforts are being made to infiltrate public consciousness and win hearts and minds to propagate other religions.

Abdulla Rasheed stated that the underlying reality and ultimate objective of all these actions is to strip the Maldives of its identity as a 100 percent Islamic nation and to fundamentally alter its character.
Furthermore, Abdulla Rasheed stated that the Ras Male' project is shrouded in secrecy and is not intended for the development of the Maldives or the progress of its citizens. He added that Maldivians must come forward to halt the project.
