The Fulhadhoo Island Council has expressed deep concern over the stalled construction of three additional classrooms at the local school.
This project is a vital initiative launched by the previous administration to address the space constraints facing the island's education sector.
The Fulhadhoo Island Council has informed RaajjeTV that work on this project has come to a complete standstill since the current administration took office. The Council highlighted that the suspension of the project following the change in government has caused significant difficulties for both students and parents.
The challenges arising from the suspension of this project have previously been brought directly to the attention of President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu. During the President's official visit to Fulhadhoo, the local council shared these concerns with him.
According to the council, the President had previously assured them that he would closely monitor the progress of the project, which aims to improve the island's educational standards and resolve the school's space constraints. However, as the work remains stalled to this day, the island's residents continue to express deep concern and unease.
