Staff working at the Velana International Airport (VIA) cargo section have been instructed not to watch RaajjeTV’s morning show, "Fashaairu."
A reliable source has informed RaajjeMV that cargo staff at the airport were recently instructed not to watch RaajjeTV’s "Fashaairu" program. The source further revealed that the MediaNet cable service at the premises has since been disconnected because employees continued to watch the show.
However, RaajjeMV has received information that STELCO employees have once again been instructed not to watch the program. This follows reports that staff had found alternative ways to view the broadcast, during which it was exposed that the company was contacting employees and pressuring them to join the People's National Congress (PNC).
However, sources have confirmed that several employees who opposed the move were summoned to meet with Ibrahim Shareef, the Managing Director of Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL).
RaajjeTV’s "Fashaairu" is a flagship program that delivers news, current affairs, social issues, and political discourse in an informal and engaging style. For the past 12 years, the show has been broadcast without interruption, airing daily from 6:30 a.m. to 8:45 a.m.
