This administration has committed massive thefts through Fenaka and has also violated numerous citizens' rights: Yameen

Former President Abdulla Yameen has stated that the current administration has engaged in corruption within Fenaka Corporation on a much larger and more "sophisticated" scale.

Former President Yameen made these remarks while addressing a gathering hosted by the People's National Front (PNF) in Fuvahmulah City.

President Yameen stated that the current administration has engaged in extensive and sophisticated corruption, yet no action has been taken regarding these matters.

Addressing the economic challenges facing the Maldives, President Yameen stated that unless a permanent solution is found for the dollar shortage and the exchange rate is stabilized, there will be no way to prevent state-owned enterprises like FENEKA from operating arbitrarily.

He stated that once the dollar exchange rate stabilizes, Fenaka will be compelled to maintain consistent pricing for its services.

Furthermore, President Yameen stated that there is currently no assurance that the dollar exchange rate can be maintained at a stable level in the future. He also noted that the efforts by President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu’s administration to forcefully suppress or control the value of foreign currency have already failed.

Furthermore, President Yameen accused the current administration of infringing upon numerous fundamental rights of the citizens.

Speaking on the Maldives' financial situation and the ongoing dollar shortage, President Yameen stated that all Maldivian citizens must unite and speak with one voice to demand that the government find solutions to these issues.
