The President's Office has announced that further sessions of the "Rayyithunge Adu" series have been conducted, an initiative launched by President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu to meet individually with members of the public and provide as many citizens as possible with the opportunity to engage with him directly.
The President's Office has announced that the second episode of the series, featuring highlights and audio from these meetings, was released on social media today. According to the President's Office, during these individual meetings held at the President's Office, President Muizzu discussed the concerns raised by the citizens, identified the various forms of government assistance available to meet their needs, and worked towards facilitating solutions for them.
Under this nationwide initiative covering all 93 electoral constituencies, citizens may request meetings with the President via a dedicated portal during application windows announced by the President's Office. The initial round of opportunities was opened to residents of the North Hulhumalé, Hulhudhoo, Hoarafushi, and Central Hulhumalé constituencies. The second round extended this opportunity to the constituencies of South Maafannu, Ungoofaaru, Kelaa, and South Fuvahmulah. The President's Office has confirmed that the third round of this series is now open to residents of the Ihavandhoo, Naifaru, Fonadhoo, Meedhoo, Vilimalé, South Machangolhi, Maamigili, and North Thinadhoo constituencies.
President Muizzu announced on June 25th this year that he will launch a new program designed to facilitate direct engagement with the public. The initiative aims to provide individuals from various sectors the opportunity to meet with him personally, ensuring their voices and concerns are heard directly by the President.
