Ghalib: Entire Administration Defending Muizzu Shows His Mistakes

Ahmed Ghalib, the Male' City Councilor for the South Hulhumale' constituency, has stated that the entire administration's mobilization to defend President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu's Independence Day address is clear evidence that the President has made significant errors.

During Thursday night's "Fala Surukhee" program, Ghalib sharply criticized President Muizzu's Independence Day address. He stated that the President's remarks reflected a profound lack of moral character.

Ghalib further noted that the fact the entire government has had to mobilize to defend the President's remarks is clear evidence that he has made significant errors.

Referring to the country's economic situation, Ghalib stated that by the year 2028, the nation's economy will have reached a point of total collapse.

Regarding the government's ongoing projects, Ghalib stated that many initiatives have stalled after merely erecting project boards. He further alleged that the government is attempting to rebrand existing projects as new ones by simply replacing boards after two years.

However, upon closer inspection, I have noticed that in islands such as Bilehdhoo, contracts were awarded to develop facilities like futsal grounds with an 82-day completion deadline, yet 752 days have passed to this day. It appears that the project count you referred to might simply be a matter of putting up signboards. Currently, when the President visits to initiate a project, an inauguration board is installed. Then, a year or two later, that same board is replaced. This practice of changing signboards is now being treated as if it represents the commencement of entirely new projects.

Ghalib further stated that the government's primary objective is to deceive the public until 2028. However, he noted that the administration has failed to gauge the public sentiment, asserting that the citizens are acutely aware of the country's current situation.
